EDUCATOR ART GRANTS
The purpose of the teacher art grants is to enhance arts education in music, theater, dance, and visual arts. Grants of up to $500 are available to public school teachers grades TK-8 to enhance their classroom and after-school arts programs. Funding may cover such needs as art supplies, visiting artists, scripts, instruments, scores, sound equipment, stipends for afterschool arts teaching, costumes, props, or professional development.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Any TK-8 teachers in the following school districts are eligible to apply: Alum Rock, Belmont, Cabrillo, East Palo Alto, Franklin/McKinley, Menlo Park, Mountain View/Whisman, Pescadero, Redwood City, San Carlos. There is a limit of three grants per school and one grant per teacher.
HOW CAN I APPLY?
To apply, click on the “Submit Grant” button below to enter required contact and payment details. Where prompted, upload a project description composed on your school’s letterhead. To be eligible for consideration, ensure each of the following details is specified in your grant request:
Include a school Tax Identification Number or a non-profit EIN affiliated with your school. At lease one of these is needed to process your request.
Note ”Amount ‘x’ to be made payable to school for ‘y’ activity.”
Describe the activity:
Number of students who will benefit;
Grade level(s) served;
Period over which the grant funds will be used;
Detail how the money will be spent via a budget or some other itemization of expenses. We encourage same grade level teachers to apply together to maximize this resource grant.
Confirm address of where check will be mailed (i.e. school address)
Be sure to include signatures of both the submitting teacher and the school principal.
WHEN SHOULD I APPLY?
We encourage you to apply in summer or at the beginning of the semester, as grants can take up to six weeks to process.
